Description
With a name like Hotel de Goudfazant this place sounds like it might be an old-fashioned family hotel but actually, it's a hip restaurant on the water's edge in Noord (North Amsterdam). In a gigantic shed of 1200 m2 with raw and rugged decor, the chefs are cooking up a storm here. The menu is unfussy and the original rust-brown pillars and unpainted walls have been kept but they have been contrasted with a mega-chandelier made from glass bottles, red canteen chairs and linen tablecloths. In the summertime, this is where you can rub shoulders with Amsterdam's creative in crowd eating outside sitting.
