Sammy D&rsquo:s comfort food
Executive Chef Sam DeMarco (aka SammyD) developed a high-end but accessible menu for Wyers Bar &bull: Restaurant. Known for his comfort food in the USA, the chef moved to Amsterdam for the opening of Wyers to immerse himself in the local culinary environment and unite his American sensibilities with Dutch influences.
At Wyers, SammyD charms locals all day long with well-known international classics with a Dutch twist. The eye catcher in Wyers&rsquo: open kitchen is Grillworks&rsquo: wood-fired grill. This blazing beauty is responsible for intense barbeque flavours in the onion soup, black Angus rib eye, the BBQ chicken cobb salad and much more.
The Wyers&rsquo: bar carries a wide selection of local and international beers, with over 25 draft and bottled brews. Wyers serves a carefully curated assortment of wines and accessible cocktails that go together with the comfort food menu and homey setting of the restaurant.
Occupying the former space of J.P. Wyers company, a leading name in the fabric industry of The Netherlands in the 1950&rsquo:s, Wyers gives a nod to the history of Amsterdam: classic, a bit rustic, warm and authentic with a rough edge. Rich brass details,
